Frequently Asked Questions
Brazilian Tape vs No Tape
Tanning with the Brazilian tape technique and without tape both result in a sun-kissed glow, but the key difference lies in the appearance of tan lines and how the body is accentuated:
Brazilian Tape
- Defined tan lines: This method uses strategically placed adhesive tape to create striking, intentional tan lines on the skin. The tape is applied in patterns, often around the bust, waist, and hips, highlighting natural curves.
- Body contouring effect: Because the tape emphasizes certain areas, it can create the illusion of a more defined figure by accentuating curves or slimming areas like the waist.
⚠️ Be mindful of sun exposure and what you're wearing; If the UV is high and you're exposed to sun for a long period of time, this may alter the results of your tan⚠️
Tanning without Tape
- Natural tan lines: Without tape, the tan develops more evenly across exposed skin, with tan lines formed only where a swimsuit or clothing blocks the sun.
-Less control over appearance:Since the tan is more organic, it doesn’t highlight or accentuate specific body parts the way tape does.
In essence, the Brazilian tape technique offers a more controlled, decorative tan, while tanning without tape gives a more natural, even look.
How often can I schedule a session?
We recommend no more than once every 7-10 days for maintenance. However, if you are within the period of your first 3 visits, you may schedule a session every 3-4 days until you reach the shade of your desired bronze.
Can all skin complexions get the Brazilian Tape ?
Yes! all skin complexions can enjoy the Brazilian tape tanning technique. However, the visibility of the tan lines long-term and the overall effect will vary depending on skin tone and how easily the skin tans.
Other things to factor are :
• Gradual Tanning: Build your tan gradually to avoid overexposure and ensure an even, healthy-looking tan. (We recommend every 7-10 days)
• Hydration and Skin Care: Moisturizing before and after tanning is essential for maintaining healthy skin and prolonging the tan.
